About Me
I'm a second year PhD student under the joint supervision of Prof. Dilip Ganguly and Prof. Sandeep Sukumaran at the Centre for Atmospheric Sciences, IIT Delhi. My PhD work focuses on understanding how aerosols interact with the Indian Summer Monsoon, especially at the subseasonal scale. Aerosols are still a source of uncertainty in climate science, and both their direct (interaction with radiation) and indirect (changes in cloud properties due to their role as CCN) effects might influence the monsoon.
I'm currently looking at how monsoon low pressure system (LPS) characteristics change in the presence and absence of aerosol forcing. The goal is to understand aerosol-driven climate impacts in a region that is highly sensitive to both air pollution and changes in the monsoon.
If I'm not working, I'm probably reading or listening to music. Like an electron, I'm usually found in just two places: the lab or my room.
