About Me
I am an Associate Professor at the Centre for Atmospheric Sciences, IIT Delhi, a position I have held since December 2022. I joined the Centre as an Assistant Professor in November 2017. I received my M.Sc. in Meteorology from Cochin University of Science and Technology in 2004 and completed my Ph.D. in 2009 from the Department of Physics and Meteorology at IIT Kharagpur.
Between 2009 and 2017, I held postdoctoral research positions at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore; the University of Oslo, Norway; and New York University Abu Dhabi, UAE.
Research Summary
My research focuses on the dynamics of the Indian Summer Monsoon and its response to climate change. I use climate models, observational data, and datasets from the Coupled Model Inter-comparison Project (CMIP5/6) to analyze monsoon precipitation and circulation changes. I am also passionate about integrating AI/ML techniques with atmospheric science to enhance understanding and prediction of weather and climate phenomena.
